uemg_econnect_1The four connection categories are:

  1. Basic new connections
  2. Basic new connection alterations
  3. Negotiated connections
  4. Energising/de-energising and ongoing supply.

Basic new connections include new connections, new connection alterations (ie. an addition, upgrade or expansion of supply), solar connections and ongoing electricity supply, for most small and medium sized customers.

Negotiated connections are for large customers or more complex connections. These connections usually require augmentation of the electricity network as well as connection of one or more premises.

Energisation includes all requests for de-energisation (cutting off electrical power) and re-energisation (putting electrical power back on) associated with moving in or out of a premises, as well as abolishment (permanently removing electricity supply and metering from a property). Ongoing supply terms and conditions take effect once your premises is energised.
