Construction and Gas Update

JUNE 2008 - Gas availability to the townships of Korumburra and Lang Lang will be available to residents as soon as possible when all the commercial agreements are finalised with relevant stakeholders. Unfortunately, there will be no final gas connection until gas is commissioned and licenced gas energy retailers are ready to make a request for final gas meter connection.
Other towns – Leongatha, Wonthaggi and Inverloch will follow on and further information will be updated in due course.

APRIL 2008 - The main transmission pipeline supplying natural gas to South Gippsland has been completed. The reticulation of the natural gas distribution mains has been completed in the township of Lang Lang with the distribution mains in the township of Korumburra due to be completed by end of April 2008. The reticulation of gas distribution mains has commenced in Leongatha and is planned to be completed by late 2008. The townships of Wonthaggi and Inverloch are due to commence shortly after.

Gas availability to the township of Lang Lang and Korumburra will be available as soon as all commercial and technical agreements are finalised with the relevant stakeholders. Further information will be updated.

Gas services will be being installed to residents progressively in these towns where residents have requested a service through their gas retailer (where mains have been installed and are gassified)
